Today I also suffered from a weak moment of the wallet
a VERY weak moment
But I have to say, that I couldn't be happier. I'm a road cycling noob, but I've cycled enough that it was time to go clipless.
Fizik Aliante looks delicious as well.
=)
Pardon the nerdy photograph.

I live in Tokyo.
HAVE to be able to walk in my road bike shoes. Also, there are constant clips and unclips and while road pedals hold you in really well, they are a larger pain to clip into when you have Asian style traffic (read: cars EVERYWHERE) moving around.
Walkability is an absolute must for me. The bike is my primary mode of transportation. Cars are useless here thanks to traffic.

For your situation, Tokyo and the need to walk unimpeeded- I'd give the Eggbeaters the edge over anything out there... with the possible exception of Frog Ti's...
Although even in your weak moments, you're a stronger man than me... I would have gone for the Four-Ti's and ended up tap-dancing for spare change to eat for the next few weeks...
