How can my fiancee avoid tan lines on her arms besides wearing a long sleeve jersey all the time? We're getting married in October and tan lines would look very weird in her wedding dress. Any ideas? I told her to try a sleeveless jersey but I guess there would still be tan lines.

We slathered a bunch of sun tan lotion on her today but she still got a slight tan.

I use spf60 and I still get a tan. Maybe do some beach/whole body tanning to even things out so it won't be as obvious?

Errrrg... uneven tanning is unavoidable if you wear clothes. Dave's idea about doing whole body tanning to compensate is good.

Oh, is she comfortable cycling in those tube-tops they use in tennis? It might work...

She could also use self-tanning lotion to even out the whiter areas, but test waaaaaay before the wedding because the color might come out funny.

She's pretty pasty white so she doesn't tan very well normally, especially not in a tanning booth. But all the hours in the saddle are definitly giving her a slight tan.

She's told me that she's going to sew some sleeves onto her short sleeve jersey... we'll see how that goes.

If the sleeves are of a different weight fabric then she'll probably still tan unevenly. Like, I have a shirt that has different types of fabric making up the sleeves. I stayed out all day in them, and at the end of the day the spots that had a lighter fabric were more burnt than the ones that had a heavier fabric.
