Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

finally got 09 Super Record

shifts beautifully. really nice ergonomics.

still some upgrades to do on the build but its close to my target weight.
notice that i am not using the 11 speed crank, will be switching to the VumaQuads. shifts great on the FSA 10 speed.

ask away.

Beautiful, both the gruppo and the bike. Excuse my ignorance, but is the crank for the 11 different than the 10? Is the chain different?

to accomodate the 11 speed into the 10 speed hubs, campy narrowed the chain. the question was did the narrowing of the front chain rings prohibit smooth shifting of the front derailleur? all reported cases said it shifts fine which means you can keep your 10 speed crank for the 11 speed. the 11 speed campy crank is probably the best choice right now but after market brands are working on completely compatible rings.

Ti cogs are such a waste. I would have opted for chorus steel cogs for longer durability

It doesn't have a weight. In fact, similar to the concept of Zipp's negative drag, the super record has negative weight; it floats.

Absolutely beautiful gruppo. Enjoy!
