Mazatlan Experience

Hi and Happy Holidays from Brewer and Malkin!

We're all set for a trip to Mazatlan to visit Malkin's parents early in February. We're going to take the Redster along for some warm(er) weather riding. Thanks to all who have discussed packing and transport issues. We'll be working with our LBS to make sure we can pack/unpack/repack properly.

Any suggestions for fabulous rides in the Mazatlan area? Any special considerations that we may not have, uh, considered? Any good information on where we might rent a twofer for the parents?

We'll report with pics when the time comes.

Cheers!

Two weeks and no response? If you haven`t left yet (or even if you have, I guess) give it a shot on the Touring forum. I expect you`ll get some input there. Have a nice trip!

Honestly, I had no idea where Mazatlan was. I did a quick google search and it appears to be Mexico I think.

If it is I'm sorry but I've never been there, so ride advice would be tough.

Hope you have a nice trip, safe, with many enjoyable miles of riding.

We're headed to the LBS tomorrow afternoon for a lesson in packing and unpacking the S&S coupled Redster. We're pretty excited about the trip. We found a bike shop in Mazatlan that boasts group rides, but haven't had much success communicating with them. Stoker Malkin will have to do most of the talking beyond "dos cervezas..."

Cheers!
