Some of my colleagues drive BMWs. I drive a Subaru Outback, a Cannondale, and a Cervelo.
This is the only pic I have:

'05 Subaru Forester.
I'm a network consultant for small companies which means I'm basically the IT department for about 22 different businesses here in the Twin Cities. I drive 26K-30K miles per year and rarely get more than 40 miles from my home as the crow flies. The Forester was the compromise of fuel economy and having all wheel/4 wheel drive for winter use around here.
That said I'm always looking for a "typical" job in an IT department at a company within a 20 mile radius. I find the right one I'll be spending some time over in the 20 real quick. I'd LOVE to be able to commute.

Interesting how many cyclists also like Subarus. Could there be a personality correlation? I wanted an Imprezza, but couldn't quite afford it, which is why I ended up with a Lancer.

Right now, it's the 1998 Volvo S70 T5 that my dad gave me when I started driving. it was his, and he figured that since I was a new driver he wanted me in the safest car possible. the Volvo was it. The fact that I was a kid getting a car with 236hp, high pressure turbo, and 5spd man. tranny was fun too.
I've decided that my next car is going to be the VW Passat diesel wagon with manual trans. I expect to have it within the year.

Subarus are pretty cool and all, but they're no Saturn VUE. Particularly orange VUEs with cracked windshields.

I'm currently driving a '93 Volvo 940 Turbo Wagon. Top of the line for its day, not too bad, just bad on gas mileage.

All the motor vehicles in my household are registered in my wife's name so technically I don't own a four wheeled vehicle. The reality is that I log at least three times as many miles on my bikes versus "behind the wheel" every year and many of those miles are driving rental vehicles on business travel, so it really doesn't matter.

Somehow Subaru managed to sell a C02-emitting device to "environmentalists"... they must know some good sales-fu!

I recently retired my Honda Accord in favor of a newer Honda Accord. But my commuter is a Masi CX with major modifications.

Because nobody wants to haul a decent amount of cargo through snow and up hills in the pacific north west.
PS Foresters (one r) had an optional partial zero emission engine for a pretty long while. I believe this engine (170hp EJ25) is standard on the 2009+ Forester so *phbbbt*
