I like my Aerospoke and I'm not apologizing for it.

Does anyone remember this forum back when people were ****ting themselves over Aerospokes on fixies? That is, how cool they were? Now people scramble to be the first to **** all over someone's joy at having a new bike because it has an Aerospoke.

**** that, y'all. You done lost your enjoyment of riding bikes, which is now apparently serious business. Build your bike the way you like, ride the ever-loving hell out of it, and if someone criticizes you for what you ride, shove it up their ass sideways with a handful of sand thrown in for enjoyment.

To that end, I like my Aerospoke. Sure, it's heavy, but I like the way it looks. I've liked Aerospokes since the ****ing '90s. It's also durable and the bearings are insanely smooth.

Post here if you love Aerospokes. Don't be ashamed - you have your reasons.

So what ARE the cons of aerospokes? It definitely serves its purpose as an aero rim due to its weight and design. Durability?

I'm impartial...which means I completely agree with your rant, do what you want and love it.

Can you hear a sweet wooooshhhh sound when you're at speed?

Nope....all I hear is wind and the sound of rubber on asphalt.

Also, Yo! your bike is rad.

I loved mine when I had them. I kinda regret selling them, but they definitely were floppy compared to a spoked wheel

I don't hate aerospokes. I just hate when people buy crap to make their bikes pretty just to take pictures of it. I'm glad you enjoy riding your bike. I don't care if your bikes got a million colorways just ride the damn thing. I think the "serious business" people are just as annoying as the "hipsters"

I have liked mag wheels since I was knee high to a grasshopper. BMX/Freestyle
I just wish somone would make a decent set.
Something that is just as stiff as a standard wheel, doesn't weigh a metric a$$ ton... Oh wait, Carbon Fiber..

Did I mention price?

its funny, I like the look of one aerospoke, and one regular rear wheel, but dual aerospokes just look odd.

Aerodynamic? Yes. Heavy? Yes. Doesn't make sense to me to be so heavy, but for street riding that shouldn't be a problem. I hear they're damn good to trick on, but for the price, you can get a great used HED or trispoke. On top of that, pay less than $100 more and you could easily get DA to Open Pro CD's.

However, that chub is beasting. Such as sexy hub.

I joke around but I do think arrospokz are purty.

Expensive, though. If I could justify getting one, I would.

@wearyourtruth I like them pink veeps too. I ALMOST got a pair before deciding to get my teal-colored ones.

So yes, I agree... ride what you like. As long as it's not a jackass setup that puts you and others in danger, it doesn't bother me at all.

If someone gave me one, yeah, I'd rock it.
Don't have the type of cash to drop on one though.

I love my aerospoke... def heavier than spoked wheels, but it looks awesome!!! and i agree on the single aerospoke looking cool, but dual aerospokes are iffy. to me anyways.. also they are a very stong wheel. good for street riding where strength is important and weight isn't as important as velodrome cycling... =)

Totally dig them. Guitly pleasure that I don't want to drop the cash on, though. But I've always wanted mag wheels ever since I saw the "Spin" wheels in a GT promo brocheure.
