I see a Trek in my future
My bother got a job at a Trek warehouse 50% discounts on bikes and big discounts on components. I'm in drunken bike shopping heaven. Be jealous.

Don't look for any Trek-love on this site. Most of the anti-Trek croud are like sheep, same with the CAAD9 folks. Both companies make good bikes but you should make sure you find one that is right for you. Don't just buy a good deal. That means fit and geometry. I really like the new 2.X Treck bikes, if you can get one fo 50% off, that would be a really good deal. The Madone bikes are great and the '10 models are some of the best bikes anywhere (IMO), but the quality isn't cheap. They have a lifetime warranty and Trek is great about covering their frames (orig owners). I'd get a project 1 Madone with SRAM Red (or Rival if I was on a budget) but you might want to check with your brother to see if you can get a better price on a bike with a cosmetic flaw or one that is left over from last year (if they have any). That would be an even better deal on top of a great deal. Just make sure it fits you properly.

You are a lucky man. I got a 2010 Madone at a special discount as well, I'd have to agree with what Fleabiscuit says, you will not get any Trek love on BF except by a select few. The Madone is a fantastic bike, mine has force with red cranks. I simply love this bike.

My only complaint with the madones is the price. Great bikes. I'd love a 5 or 6 series at half the price.
Are you taking orders?

You Know!? For Kids!
Been a Trek rider since the early 80s. They gave me a frame for free back in the day. Did not cost me a cent. I brought in a bike I broke, few weeks later, walk out with new bike. I love Trek and Richardson Bike Mart.

I guess you've somehow missed my story. I bought a used Madone. BB shell broke loose inside the frame. Trek wouldn't warranty, even though it was a workmanship issue (clearly caused by forces through the cranks). Instead, they offered a weak 20% "crash replacement" discount (which really just takes their prices down to what you should be able to bargain to anyway).
