Painted Cranks Today!!!!
Well this is what happens when it gets cold out, and I have too much time on my hands. I took some red paint and filled in the cut-outs in my crank arms to match the red trim and head tube, what do you thing?

Cool, what kinda paint did you use? If I remember the inside of the fluted parts of those 600 cranks are quite textured so I guess it wont be chipping easily.
I think black woulda looked a lot better than red though, along with on your seat post flutes.

Yep, Testors is what I used as well. I guess this is what us 70's era people do? Sure brings back memories....

Wow I like it! Should I do this to my Bianchi? I was thinking blue to match all the Pantos, cable housing and bar wrap. I already did the seatpost flutes blue. My head lugs are chrome though

Looks great! I wish that is what I had done in the 70's. I drilled out my parts! Yikes. When I think of some of the Campy parts I lightened back then, I cringe. Silly trend, really. As if it made that much difference on a 22 pound bike!

Go For It!!!!! If you end up not liking it, you can wipe it of with some paint thinner.

Nothing wrong with some paint on the right bike. I'd be tempted to put red cables on your bike.
I've done some paint highlighting myself. I don't do all of my bikes, just when I think it fits. I think yours takes it well.
