Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Podcasts you listen to while riding

Hey I know there were already some mentioned in the here thread, but I thought maybe some people would have missed it, and anyways it's nice to have a dedicated thread for something that I feel like could be it's own topic.

I used to listen to The Velocast, but they seem to have evaporated. These days it's exclusively Uhh Yeah Dude.

Et tu?

There are a lot of spoken word podcasts, so you can listen to it while cycling without completely obliterating the outside world.

The Hospital records podcast is the only one I listen to anymore. I used to listen to TWIT and digg, but not so much anymore.

I am a musician and what I listen to when riding is what is going on around me. Never anything in my ear or near it I want to hear cars and whatever happens along.

+1. I like Car Talk because it appeals from every angle -- laughing at the misfortunes of motorists, guessing at the solutions to mechanical problems even of cars you like, and plain ol' funny guys talking about stuff.

Wait Wait Don't Tell Me has cracked me the hell up almost every show, too.

I cant ride and concentrate on a podcast at the same time but when I am home I listen to the Two Johns cycling pod cast. By far the best cycling podcast available.
