Now for Something Different: A Crazy DH Urban Race
Anyone seen this one before? What a wild downhill MTB race, through an urban route.

Yep, seen that before. Every time I watch it makes me pucker:
The dog that trots in front of the rider
Big air shortly thereafter
Narrow entry between steel stanchions to get onto the downhill stairs
If that were me, there would have been no need for an ambulance- straight to the undertaker's!

I've seen that before, as well, but it always kicks the adrenals every time.
Pretty insane. The jumps are crazy, and the narrow sidewalks with the pole handrails are just major *pucker* factor. I'd hate to catch a handlebar on anything

Seen it a few times, always love watching that clip. Here's a great clip that's also a 'must see'.

Man, watching that freeride stuff makes my spine shrink. If I tried that I'd end up in the ER.

I sponsor two pro DH racers in UK. Angie Coates is a 2X national champion and Nick is a top 5 rider. if you want to see some truly spectacular riding, check out Sam Hill from 07 or so. I raced DH for many years. It's a hoot. I made an extra $200 a week on average racing downhill.
Here is the frame I currently sell. It weighs 7.2 lbs (no shock) and has about 9.5" of rear wheel travel. The front shock mount can be adjusted to change ride height and adjustable head bearings are used that allow a head angle between 59 and 65 degrees.
$3200 approx.

Oh wow. You need a special license for that? Amazing frame, too bad we don't have any serious DH here in the Netherlands

Brubelle has one from a race in a parking garage.
www.digave.com, I think.
It appears he's stopped sharing them free, and now you have to buy them or something.

I will be sticking to my sedate, flatland, nice weather, skinny tired, bicycling rides thank you....I don't think my knees would stand up to much of that kind of pounding....IF I managed to not summersault on the first set of stairs! :-O
