Rohloff/Krampus/Moneky Bone question

I've just laced my Rohloff (disc version with threaded axle) to my Rabbit Hole rim and cannot mount the wheel to the frame using my Monkey Bone without first removing the Monkey Bone/entire disc caliper. The same goes for removing the wheel.

Am I missing something here or is that just the way the Rohloff and Krampus play together?

In the past I've had my Rohloff mounted to an old-style 1x1 using the Monkey Bone and never had an issue. Is there something slightly different with the Krampus?
