Yes, good quality frames. REI is easy to deal with on returns as well and most of the stores have decent bike shops. If you are a co-op member and buy a bike from them I think they do free service...

Not carrying a valve core tool is even lighter... I don't carry one and have never needed one on a ride.

If you do carry one, make sure you have spare valve cores too, I guess? Otherwise it's not...
