Serial 9227 shipped to original owner at Offutt Air Force Base, July 1972. I have the original BoL with the dates....

That was what I thought as well. As a promo it may have been old stock rejuvenated but the headset, seatpost, and tubing stickers all validated what I was presented. Pierino spoke very little English...
