I agree with the others, looks like the tires are dry-rotting and cracking. I would not ride with those tires. One cut may not be bad but multiple cuts and tire separation is no bueno.

That definitely seems like a lot of wear for that little time. Odd stuff happens though. I got a tire that was new and put it through 5-800 km on the trainer, but first ride out on the road...
