I wanted a new bike, but love that vintage bike esthetic. I wanted something a bit fancier than an:
all city/surly/fairdale/ soma etc...
But I don't think I could afford a full custom steel bike....

each click and creak is the result of some sort of friction which will have an impact on performance (albeit minor). So you may find that it is running better in addition to being quieter.

The difference is noticeable. Not sure I can say which I think is “better”

It seems like the CF fork is a little more smooth...
