Cleaning Frame (Grease)?

Looking for advice on cleaning grease of the frame. I have spots on my frame that look to be grease from the chain and normal soap does not remove it. Anyone else have this trouble or any recommendation on how to remove it without using products that would damage the frame?

WD 40. Soap and water wash and then a little wax.

Maguires Scratch X. Good for bike and car. A light rub does wonders. Follow up with Quick Detailer. Works for me.

I learned this from a bicycle mechanic and it simply works wonders......Lemon Pledge!

Cheap and smells great to boot!

Try Lemon Pledge. Works really well and your bike will smell good!

Zep foaming spray or Simple Green degreaser from your local home center works wonders.

If its a disc bike, try not to spray wd40 everywhere.

Kerosene.

I use auto tire and wheel cleaner (make sure its the kind that is ok for painted wheels) on my drivetrain as well as on grease, tar, or other hard to clean gunk anywhere. Works really well so far and has had no adverse effect on paint or clearcoat.

mineral spirits (aka paint thinner)

Dish soap in hot watah... It's a mild degreaser. Stay away from chemicals as much as you can :) Your paint will thank me later.

Simple green works great for me - I spray it on a rag and wipe down the bike.

I've actually found that baby wipes/Clorox wipes work wonders on cleaning bikes, especially grease.

91% Isopropyl alcohol. 70% doesn't remove grease but 91% will, and will not damage paint, or leave a residue.
