I could lock up the rear wheel with my old single pivot calipers. I think a disc brake setup would just be overkill, there is such a small contact patch on the road on these bikes.

I got a san marco Ti regal a couple months ago and will never look back. The most comfortable saddle. I had a brooks B17 narrow, it was ok but not as comfortable as the regal. The brooks is heavy.

The group i catch is about a 12 mile ride from the house. Take the bike trail 80% of the way. 20 mile group ride then 12 back home. Good weekday ride. Most of the group rides are pretty close.
