Most of my commuting t shirts are merino. In the warm weather they are worn by themselves and when the temperature dips I just layer on top of them. I find its the most comfortable in all conditions.

I have been using the jacket for a for years and think its great. Even with no vents the jacket breathes well in all conditions. The jacket is not waterproof since the seams are not sealed.

When the problem happens the click is different and it drops the gears and eventually stops. Veloce shifters do not have the option for multiple upshifts. It is one shift at a time for upshifts.

Chombo - i have a pair, and i dont think there good for riding. The soles are not stiff and the velro straps can get caught on your clips and straps. I only paid $40 for mine so i dont feel so bad.
