Who rode Mavic 280 rim on a rear wheel? Except on a track. Especially with hard skinny tubulars. Answer = only a lightweight racer or a wheelbuilder.

That's right - old bikes with long chainstays and long front-center capable of 38mm tires aren't really gravel bikes because there was no marketing term/definition of a gravel bike in the 1970's. ;)

The PX10 as configured with a 36 chainring + 28 cog gets the min gear inches, so I could be in. But I would never put $24 tire+tube on a dedicated gravel bike. So I'm out of yet another budget build...
