Do you have an old one to measure/compare? I’d guess 5 or 6mm, don’t know about length. Maybe someone with that derailleur will be along to measure theirs. Otherwise you could buy a handful of bolts...

The Raleigh won’t appeal to most C&V types but it is a decent bike, definitely not sporting goods store level. But again it really depends on your usage which is a better fit.

That can only be answered by inspecting the bike in person. Given the quality of the bike to begin with, and how much rust can be seen in the pictures, I know I wouldn’t bother even for less than $50.

For what kind of riding? If mountain biking I might prefer the suspension fork on the Raleigh. For a townie, commuter etc. I’d go with the Schwinn. Both are of similar quality in my opinion.
