FWIW, if the bike fits, is in good shape, and everything works, I'd offer $85 and go from there. Those old hybrid/mtb's can be re-purposed...

Hard to say - doesn't seem unreasonable, but not exactly my type of bike. Are you sure the SSFG forum is the right place to ask about an old geared Schwinn hybrid? ;)
