I bought one as a spare bike for wife.
The WSD geometry is truly outstanding.
Note that front wheel is a 24-inch and rear wheel is 700c, so carry two tubes instead of one

I got an earier GT Road bike in about 1995.
Aggressive geometry,, alum frame, RSX shifters and derailleurs.
illeur.it was stolen, And I have been trying to replace it for decades.

Used on my 1982 Ross Super Gran Tour accepts a 27.0 Seat post.
Trek also used Ishiwata until the currency exchange rate made the Japanese "Chromoly" prices too expensive.
