good trick ...it's let's the chain have a better line.
same cranks have this option i would post a picture ...
but its pretty simple...and very effective
if you look at the chain from the back-end...

keep a big amount clearance..
one would think that weakest link is the stem ...
but you should keep in mind that the bike frame was build for a system ...if you have the same hardware to replace...

it's like that a lot, i work in a recycle shop and there isn't a nut that wil work more then one way...inbus or allen-key is the new standard so hope for this..otherwise i would just trial and error...

the one piece crank system was up for a new smack of grease...and good lovin'
and a new set of gyro cables ...now...

they called out different names for different bikes ...

i hate to say : it probably has' something to do with coppers and their "CRUISER" ...

yeah coaster style no-nonsense system you could keep truckin' the big old rims with the big tires and never get a flat..
great also the fluid lines are so great to see ...
.and handling is' great...
