Grade is just the percent rise (Up) over run...

Grade is just the percent rise (Up) over run (across) a 1 percent grade would climb 1 foot vertical over 100 feet of horizontal...likewise, a 5 percent grade would rise 5 feet over 100 feet...

I've never actually seen anyone use an aero helmet in a race...but if you want to look like a badass, be my guest...

also...you'll definitely want a tri wetsuit instead of a diving suit...

for instance...a $500 road bike is way faster than a $100...
