trek seatmast too high

Hello did you find a solution? i also have a trek seat mast that is too tall and i'd like to bring it down. are the bikes designed to cut the carbon fiber?

Thanks for the comments as I too have aluminum oxidation on my carbon Ridley from the bottle cage mounts. I'll use a fine sand paper and the oxidation chemical as suggested.

I would first check eBay if they are inexpensive. Otherwise I would take it to a local bike shop and have them just press it in for you. I'm sure they wouldn't charge much.
