It is a somewhat oddball one -- Shimano 7 speed cassettes are the same spacing as Campagnolo 8 speed cassettes, just with one fewer cog. A buddy of mine happened to have an old 8 speed drivetrain...

Happy to say that my drop bar, repainted, re-brazed Cimarron is also working out great! Had a local cobbler modify a Carradice Super C to use as a handlebar bag with a Pec Dec and it swallows...

This fork is not necessarily from a Cimarron, so it could be from a contemporary ... oh god, lots of bikes. Specialized, Panasonic, Kuwahara I think? all used this same lugged unicrown Tange fork....

I would think this is an '86 or '87 (looks like mine!) but a quick check of the serial number on the underside of the bottom bracket would be an easy tell!

The Voyageur wouldn't have been bad if I wasn't so hard-headed and tried to make it (a nice 27" touring bike) into something it never was designed to be (a 700c woodsy bikepacking rig).
