The original Raleigh 3 speed seat is a dual rail saddle and its seatpost has the clamp that will mount the dual rail system. I didn't think about it until I got my B17 now and of course they don't...

As for my saddle, it was setup based on my knee position and that's how it is.

I ride my 50mm carbon clincher regularly. Unless you're asking if you should ride a 88mm wheelset, otherwise I don't see the problem here.
