Me too

I weigh a deuce and a half, and I am 6' 2" I've been on a carbon Trek Domane for 5 years, 5000 miles. The carbon frame is in great shape.

Score The Post a Bit

Have you tried filing/sanding/scoring the post up a bit?

It may be worth trying with you steel/aluminum posts. I now that scoring those a bit will cause zero net damage.

I've had similar issues after my surgery. They cleaned up cartilage from the back of my knee cap. It took awhile to get going. These things helped me.
