I thought 6800 looked cheap and ugly when shimano released it on their carbon marketing frame. Oddly, I've now seen it on a few lugged steel bikes and it looks great.

I dig it. That is a very dependable group but I can't help but think the frame deserves more down the road. Dura ace 7700 or a campy 10 or 11 speed group sounds about right. Either way, great job.

No official weight yet. My guess is 22.5lbs. Not bad for a frame over 2500g and wheels over 2000g. Nicer traditional wheels could get it around 20.5lbs, add a better frame and it would be sub 20.
