Don't be too worried about the plastic RD. If it's on a PX-10 it's probably a little more upmarket than what you might find on like a similar vintage Raleigh Record which means they snuck a little...

I'll have to post pictures of my Cobra, it's also chrome but it's missing a bit of the paint over the chrome, and missing a bit of the chrome in places which unfortunately i can't really paint that...

I have many sets of Mafac Racers, I can't really attest to how well they work, but i find they have a lot more adjustment to where you can put the pads, and they just have a really cool look to them....

yep, the serial number on my Motobecane Mixte is......1750022 with a little Y33 after it at an angle. This is on the rear left dropout.
