You’re definitely not overthinking it imo. 50mm rake sounds a bit extreme for a gravel bike. I’d got 47mm. With a HT angle around 72.3 or so.

I like shirt chain stays, around 420... but 430-435...

If you're running disc brakes, I'd recommend Latex tubes. I think they hold up better for gravel riding. Challenge makes some larger width ones for Gravel.

Smart man... I went up to 28mm, then 35mm only to come back to 25mm.

Once all relevant inputs are accurately taken into consideration, it’s clear 25mm comes out on top.

Those are great tires, if I had some 650b rims they would be my first choice. Loving the Steilacoom 700c version.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I don’t think wiser is always necessarily better....

Smart move! I was in a similar situation, as my frame only fits 38mm. My wheels are 21mm internal width and they fit perfectly. Gave me a lot more volume than my previous tires. Love them btw......

Although it weighs a couple pounds more than my road bike...
