Don't let all the epic tours on the web mislead you. 1-2 weeks is pretty long tour. Flat bars will be hell. Triple rings, fatter tires, something other than flat bars.

Trekking bars are the only bars I will tour on. For more causal use I’ve grabbed various cheap bars with around an inch of rise and maybe 30 degree sweep. I like this configuration. Bars are fun....
