From dropping from 260 - 210 in the last 18 months this is so true. Averaging maybe 16-17 mph over 3100 miles this year and you're looking at 200 hours. Thats a lot of time to commit but it works.

First Metric Century (and then some) Today

I rode my first metric century for an MS Charity Ride. The ride itself was 66 miles and I rode to/from it to log a total of 73 miles. This exceeds my previous longest ride by 18 miles!

Thanks for all the input. I guess I'll skip the commute to work the day (or two) before and just roll with it. Luckily it's a supported ride so they'll have a stop with food halfway.
