I did have to shorten the chain as I shortened the boom but only 4 links and that was just enough to stop the chain from slapping the boom in the front granny ring

I picked up a project tandem and I don't know what brand it is, I suspect KHS but that is a guess- I need a derailleur tab/lug/dropout thingy and wonder how I can figure it out...

As it was bent from pressure on the derailleur I would bolt a chunk of steel in it's place and lever on that- I worked in autobody repair and we always tried to reverse the dents as done

Lock Suggestions

Our local miscreants have taken to carrying rechargeable angle grinders so I know that there is nothing that I can do to combat them but any suggestions for a reasonably priced and weighted lock ?
