I cant say anything about the tubies, but i have a set of the 58 clinchers. I am a pretty heavy guy at 185lbs and they are very stiff and very strong.

and they look great too ;)

I have been riding Boyd clinchers and they are great. Stiff, and responsive. The ones i ride are carbon, but similar things have always been said about their alloy options.
