Searching through old Brown Brothers catalogs...

Searching through old Brown Brothers catalogs showed EKLA as most probable maker.
I have more numbered lugs, and as Unterhausen says they can be ugly....

Old cast steel lugs, who made them?

I bought a batch of old cast steel lugs from the fifties. Very elaborate but not investment casted. They are numbered (probably for the catalog).
This is a set for a ladies bike toplug 69 and lower...

Threadcutters come in more styles and forms. VAR169 is a reamer/ threadcutter that goes all the way through the bottombracket. French can be changed to Italian (35 to 36mm) not the other way .

I've used the stainless steel version of those classic Dahon bikes.
The frame was high end, but the parts used were cheap and rusted anyway.
It was a good folder, but a lousy ride.
A 20km trip...

I've owned several Dahons while commuting over the years, but this one not within the budget for daily use.
