+1 for converse allstars. Their rubber front can take a lot of rubbing from the clips, and they have holes in the sides for ventilation. Real holes.

I thought the screws were too long or something, because the QR thingy seems to sit too much on the forward edge of the dropout. However, the screws will not be screwed in further without the removal...
