I ended up having to grind a slot on both sides of the casting to allow it to go over the new cotter. I couldn't quite get it over without the slots. Remember you have to push the cotter from both...

I did buy the Shimano cogs and installed them in my Nuovo Record. It shifts slick, and that even with a 7 tooth cassette on the Campy 700c clincher...

In person, I never even noticed if it was there. I was more concerned about the rest of it and getting the tires pumped...
