Whoever told you that you cannot change things is ridiculously wrong. The handlebars, shifters, and brakes on my Catrike Expedition are very different from when I purchased it in 2009. I like my arms...

I'll be 78 in a few weeks and live in Florida where bike trails are mostly flat. I generally ride my Catrike 40 miles twice a week, averaging 12/13 mph with an occasional 14 MPH ride. My heart rate...

I don't have a Catrike because I'm too slow to ride a two-wheeler. At 78 years old I still average 13/14 MPH on my regular bi-weekly 40 mile rides. I got my first Catrike because it was the coolest...

E-bike? Not likely.

Perhaps, when I can no longer pedal my Catrike Expedition 5 miles at 5 MPH on flat ground, but certainly not before that.

Slowing down a bit at 78 YO

Actually, I'm a month short of 78, but I am definitely slowing down. Four or five years ago I was averaging 16/17 MPH on my twice a week 60 mile rides. Today I struggle to average 13/14 MPH on twice...

I've never fallen off my Catrike Expedition. I doubt that I ever will. I doubt that I will ever wear a helmet.

I've never worn a helmet

Nowdays I ride a Catrike. Not much chance of falling off. I stay away from other riders. No helmet is going to protect me from a car or truck.

I wouldn't be complaining if the lights weren't flashing in my eyes. I ride a Catrike and lights on handlebars are at my eye level and most people point them straight ahead... which is in my eyes. I...

Be assured that I can see you just fine without a flashing light when you are 100 feet away and that's all the warning I need providing I can see my way. On the other hand, a bright flashing light in...

Flashing lights

Why do people think that shining a bright flashing light in my eyes as we pass is making them safer? Point the damned things down.

Helmets are a personal choice

Wear one of you want, but don't pester those of us who don't.

I’m 77 years old and I ride a Catrike Expedition with around 35000 miles on it, most of it documented. Nowadays, I normally ride two rides a week, 40/50 miles with an average speed between 13 and...

I live in the Tampa area, but if I were snowbirding, I'd pick Inverness, Fl. It has the Withlacoochee Trail (40+ miles) running through and isn't a long drive to the Suncoast Trail (40+ miles) and...

Most Catrikes come standard with Marathon Racers (including tubes). You can buy Racers directly from Schwalbe, but they are, in my opinion, not very good tires. Low puncture and high rolling...
