Just an update. I thank phidauex for the heat advice. I tried that at first with no luck but then I hit it with a little WD40 and a little more heat and she went off like a prom dress. Thanks!

No problem. I just built a wheel with the spoke heads on the inside of the flange and I personally like it better than the much preferred outside the flange method.

A lot of folks would suggest that you ride virtual SS for a while. Meaning that you ride your roadie in one gear all of the time to see what you can handle. 42:16 works pretty well...

I use both. On my conversion/beater I am using 3/32" and on the track bike I am using 1/8". I don't think one is superior to the other it just depends if you are using road vs. track components.
