I purchased a near-new Trek Fuel EX 9 frame on eBay and built it up myself with a custom parts list. After riding several Trek hardtail MTBs for several years, I love the full suspension.

The RD doesn't really care how many speeds you have -- the indexing is in the shifter. My guess is the 12-25 is a short cage derailleur. Long cage is generally for MTB clusters with 28-34t gears.
