Agree 100%... Cant tell you how many times new riders have complained that our advertised "fast group ride" average is 21-23mph but yet we do 28mph+ for over 1/2 the ride with lots of surges,...

Take a recovery week after 4-6 weeks of hard rides. Skip the normal "hammerfest" rides and efforts and just enjoy the week. Without these breaks, you will at some point hit a wall and stop improving

In this case id go with SRAM Force. Both shift fine but Force is an upgrade (lower weight, built better) than the new 105. Hoods/shifting will seem odd at first but you will get used to it.
