Don't know too much about these forks... the chrome one has holes on the inside of the brake posts and has a faint "TBS" on the steerer. I believe that's taiwan bicycle services.

That's the XT in the box... it's definitely not new and has some wear. The pulleys are loose in the box, as is the other half of the cage.

You guys have as good a guess as I do as to the exact age... I was guessing around '81 based on what I was seeing. Bikes with these dropouts do make great SS conversions though.
