As a semi pro picker, worth getting is all about price (low), condition, and packing hassle. In the case of bicycles, you will need knowledge/tools/time to do it.

As much as I love finding bikes, I do much better flipping books, which require zero work and take up very little space. Just sold a book today, paid $1, sold for $165. My very best ever all time bike flips do not compare.
