1-1/8 quill size?
Super basic stuff: bike is a ‘96 or ‘97 Pinarello Stelvio as far as I can tell. Original owner was a bit taller than I, especially from the waist up. What is the correct quill and clamp diameter for 1-1/8 threaded steerer with 3ttt Supercriterium Ergo Power II bars? This stem is way too long.
Please excuse my ignorance, and thanks.

I'd really be surprised if that has a 1-1/8" steerer.
Most likely 1" steerer with 22.2mm quill stem.
I would guess 26.0 mm bar clamp dimension. 3T did make some stuff in 26.4 but I don't think Ritchey ever did, but...

…so I went and got some cheap metric calipers and I read a tiny bit on what I should actually be measuring. I was not looking in the right places at all. You are correct about the quill of course, but I measure the bars at the clamp to be 25.6mm. (And this is why I hate cheap tools.) May I assume that this is in range of a 26mm clamp, with or without a shim?
