Debated whether to post this or not. But since a few C&V regulars seem to be always looking for large (60+cm) lugged steel frames, I thought I'd post this anyway.
BLUF: interesting, but it could be either a gem or a dog.
Charity eBay vendor on eBay in the St Louis area has a large, lugged steel frameset (including headset) for sale. Large, as in these listed measurements:
64cm (c-c) seat tube
60cm (c-c) top tube
230mm head tube
265mm fork steerer
Listing says fork spacing is 100/130, BB shell is 68mm (threading not specified).
What caught my eye was the claimed weight: 2920g, or a bit under 6 1/2 pounds. For comparison, the vendor also has a 58cm RB-T frameset (including headset) for sale; they claim a weight for the RB-T of 3210g - nearly half a pound heavier - for a significantly smaller frame.
The photos aren't too much help. I can't make out any markings on the frame except for "SNH" on the top tube. Can't really tell from the photos if it's been repainted. Rear dropouts are horizontal and appear to be either Suntour or Shimano (they're worn enough that all I can make out is the letter "S" and the upper part of a vertical stroke at the beginning of the manufacturer's name embossed on the dropout). Derailleur hanger is integral to the dropout and appears intact.
Here's the URL:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/255723483962
No bids so far; starting bid is $75. Don't know if the vendor allows local pickup or not.
IMO I doubt it's worth buying without seeing it in person. But if you live nearby and are looking for a large lugged steel frame, it might be worth a look.
Posted for info; I have no connection to this vendor other than purchasing maybe a half-dozen items from them during the past few years. I periodically check their site, as they always have an interesting selection of vintage parts. I was doing that earlier today when I saw this and the RB-T.
Edited to add: forgot to mention above that the vendor is auctioning the frameset; auction ends at 3:34PM EDT on Monday, September 19, 2022. Also, the seatpost diameter is listed as 27.0mm; the derailleur clamp size is listed as 28.6mm. If accurate, that implies that at least the seat tube (and likely at least the main triangle) are made out of fairly nice tubing.

Price drop - was $150
Monesson PA (South of Pittsburg)
There are so many variations that I don't know what is and what isn't a PX10 so unsure if this is a real PX10. If it is real, it's a good price

70s? Raleigh road bike - $1
Posted 2022-09-14 00:44"Vintage steel frame Raleigh. It’s old! It needs work! Carried me through undergrad and my PhD and now it’s a piece of ****. It could be your project!
The wheels are newer-ish compared to the frame, c 2012 iirc. Definitely needs new tubes, tires, brakes, cables. The seat is ancient.
I just need to get rid of it and forget the time period it represents. Make me an offer or just take it off my hands. Don’t go to grad school. Just read a couple books and hate yourself like a normal person.
I forget what size it is and I’m too lazy to measure but I’m about 6’. So hopefully you are too

That looks like one of the post-72 models with steeper angles and less fork rake. Love the Nervex lugs, though.

But it certainly seems very light for a very large size steel frameset that appears to date from the 70s/80s - and from what I've learned, in steel frames that often means it's made from really good tubing.

Yup, definitely less rake on the fork than my plain-lug '72 PX-10. This one has been up on FB for a while now. If it wasn't 6h away I would've bought it already (I need a larger PX-10 than what I have, though I prefer the earlier, more relaxed angles). A super deal.

As someone with a long torso I'm always checking out seatpost angles, and this frame's really got it going on. (Way too big for me though.)

That's what I thought I thought, also seems like the angles and lugs flip-floped around.

Just going by the info on the available websites, the decal scheme seems to date it earlier than that. For what that's worth . . .

Schwinn Paramount custom build chrome 10 speed road/race bike - $800 (Cary)
Posted 2022-09-14 15:38"This bike was a custom buildup circa 1974 for the original and current owner based on a Schwinn Paramount frame.
Frame: The chrome frame is constructed with lugged Reynolds 531 tubing with BREV. Campagnolo front and rear dropouts. There are 2 screws but no head badge on the frame, the owner thought it was a Schwinn and the serial number on the rear dropout indicates that it was made in 1972. Approximate dimensions of frame geometry in inches are: top tube 22.5, seat tube 25 (center to top), head tube 8.
Fork: The fork is also lugged chrome with BREV. Campagnolo dropouts.
Headset is BREV, Campanello.
Handlebars and stem are Cinelli Giro d'Italia.
Brakes: Brake levers, hoods, and side pull calipers are Weinmann 500 (made in Switzerland). Brake cable guides are chrome SHIMANO.
Saddle: BROOKS PROFESSIONAL.
Crank set: STRONGLIGHT double.
Derailleurs: Front Simplex Super LJ, rear Simplex Prestige Super LJ (5 cogs) (made in France).
Pedals: Maillard Atom 700 (made in France).
Toe clips: Christophe Special (made in France) with original leather straps.
Wheels: Front and rear rims are NISI Moncaliere (Italy) with Campanello RECORD (Italy) hubs and MM ATOM skewers (France).
Tires: Continental GIRO.
I am selling this classic vintage road/race bike for the original owner. It was always stored indoors and well maintained, but not used for many years. It does show some normal wear for age but is period correct throughout. - rare for a bike of this age and will make for an exceptional restoration project.
bicycle frame material: alloy
bicycle type: road
brake type: caliper
condition: good
frame size: custom
handlebar type: drop
make / manufacturer: Schwinn
model name / number: Paramount
suspension: none (rigid)
wheel size: 700C"

Hmmm, that's interesting. The decals and tab on the NDS indicates a pre-'72/'73 plain-lug period frame (with the more 'relaxed' geometry), but the fork rake looks like it's from after that period. Possibly a later replacement fork? I so, so, so wish it was closer to me.

Is this a custom Paramount? did they use a completely different serial number format? I would expect a letter and four numbers, not five? what am I missing?

From Waterford bikes: determine the manufacture year
"Capacity Added for the Boom Years
- Month Code: This one letter code corresponds to the month with A=January, B=Febuary and so on. Because I is not used, September=J and December=M.
- Year Code: This two digit code is the last two digits of the year – 86 is 1986.
- Sequence Number: This two digit number represents the nth frame and/or fork scheduled during the month. During the peak of the bike boom, Schwinn would add another digit, sometimes producing as many as 500 frames a month.
