What road bike do you have?

No you are wrong man (you must not get out a lot), im 18 and love it. I HATE ALL THE SNAZZY STUPID GEARED BIKES, but LOVE the single speed and fixed geared bikes (considering i own 4). Single speed/fixie is the way to go.

My Roubaix
So far, I haven't ridden more than 30 miles, but I like the bike. The Zertz inserts make the bike look a bit like the legs from two storks have been grafted onto it. (I tried without success to post a photo a few days ago, but being a newbie here, I failed).
I should have said I haven't ridden more than 30 miles on a single ride.

Lemond Versailles
This bike is half carbon and half steel. I have owned it since 2006 and ride it nearly everyday.

Wow, great deal, It's nice to see a company looking after it's customers like that...Shimano's good for that too, a few years back I had a defective/cracked sole Shimano shoe (mid level), my LBS sent them in for warranty, one week l8r I had some brand new DA Shoes.

Don't mince words
I had a high-speed(40.4 mph) front wheel shimmy, while bombing downhill about mile 6-7 during the Berkeley Hills Road Race. Because I couldn't identify the problem they didn't ask me to do it again. Besides, 3 of my team mates had issues with their Orcas, so the LBS knew I wasn't new and a rank beginner.

Trek says they will re-introduce them for 2009. Lemond is no longer part of Trek & those recourses will go to making Klein a strong brand. Gary has absolutely nothing to do with Klein as far as i know. I think he spends his time in Nevada looking for UFO's & Elvis.

Big round AL. tubes are a bit dated? It will be interesting to see how Trek repackages Klein to be marketable for todays carbon world.

From what i have read Trek says it will not re-badge Lemonds as Kleins. It will be interesting to see how they market the new bikes. I wish there was a place for nice aluminum frames in todays market but sadly i think its a sinking ship....

As far as I know, Trek can't rebadge Lemonds as Kleins- Lemond broke off from trek, and I'd assume they would take all their stuff and IP with them.

I don't exactly know what the 09's will look like, but I wouldn't expect anything special.

Hi, New here and new to road biking. Acquired my first road bike about 3 weeks ago, the Trek Madone 5.1 in the marginal quality photo below. I've put about 300 miles on it so far, every one of them a distinct pleasure. I hope to some day be a cyclist worthy of this cycle.
