Damn, there are some good artist in your neighborhood. And some that are even painting on the bottom of the underpass like the Sistine Chapel. But really, good stuff, beyond graffitti and into fine art.

Velo Mule the bike color matching the artworks is purely coincidental, but I think our drab UK weather has me craving for more color in my life

I wish all us locals were that creative, but I'm spoiled for artworks as London is clearly one of those places that artists want to have their street art seen, so people come from all over the world to paint here. I'm constantly impressed with the time and effort they take to do something that can be defaced or painted over completely within hours, and risk getting arrested too.
I think its a public service brightening up otherwise dull walls, and as you note there's some real skills on show, and the streets of London are a free gallery where bikes are welcome.
Some of you will have seen these from my recent posts in the 'where'd you ride today' thread, but as they belong here I'll post some of my recent finds.
This one I definitely did have the right colored bike for the artwork.
