Walked 18 holes. Was 3 under after 3 holes with a par, birdie, eagle. Holed out a tough shot from 120 yards for the eagle.
After golf ate lunch then rode 57 miles. Stopped for a beer at mile 45. School buses tried to hit me all afternoon????
When I got home my wife was fixing a gourmet meal. Had a great bottle of Chianti. Pretty good day.

32 miles today. We had warm weather all week but work kept me from riding until today. Only got to do one real ride in February between three snowstorms and workload. Snow and ice just linger on the trails. Luckily I’ve been working out with my youngest kid most evenings at the rec center.

Dry. 40*s.
Riding an old favorite.
Gritty and sometimes wet roads.
Miles of smiles.
Chilly at times, sun to help
Wet fields, but less than usual.
AD Olympian for an Olympic Ridge. The legs and lungs passed on the climbing opportunity.

Thankful to post this thread
Dry days in sequence with sun in coastal PNW during Winter = Priceless
YMCA not busy.
Riding a racy one. A bit early in the season to be riding these drops this early in the year. 25mm VeloFlex tubulars @ ~95psi makes the ride heavenly

Same bike, much of the same roads. Just enjoying a 2 wheeled exercise that gets me movin’.
Ti frame, cf fork, 25mm tubulars on decent enough pavement is just right for my 20milers.
Littering is unethical — spread the word

Did a 26 mile ride in a rare 74 degree day here in southern New England. First time outdoors in awhile, been relegated to indoor training. Was happy to do the ride and feel pretty good given how little actual riding I’ve been able to do all winter. Grateful for the day.

This past week was pretty good. Six rides over six days for a total of 126 miles.
Still riding on the winter beater; I hope the rain yesterday and today has washed off enough of the road salt to bring the nice bikes out.

Second ride on the road for 2022. Light wind, sunny, mid-50s, 14 miles. I don't mind the trainer this year, but I am so happy to be back on the road.

Several little rides the last 2 weeks or so, dodging rain showers. Today’s sprinkles were not even drops - out for almost 20mi, further today because the weekend traffic is always lighter. About 52*f at the start, only a few warmer by the end.
Along the way
Farmettes
Back home. 1980 Mondia Super on a classically vintage kinda day.

Did one of my favorite roads called Middle Fork. It’s an out and back and in the 7 miles out, I was passed by one car. The way back was much more busy with 4. Did 45 miles at low intensity and got home feeling really good. The Middle Fork goes from state forest land to National forest and follows a wild river. If you live in Wash state, it/s a must.

Rather than rural, today did Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish as well as the cities of Sammamish, Issaquah, Bellevue, Medina, Redmond and back home to Fall City. Boy was I tired and happy to be home.

I went out on my Birdy today for the first time since its rear shock elastomer broke about and disappeared last September. I lucked out on finding a “Super Birdy” front and rear suspension kit. The Birdy is of course a folding bike, but one which is easily modified, and which I set up to mimic the riding position of my road bikes. Once I had the parts in and the tires aired up, I went for a ride through the park and enjoyed the smoother ride and the cherry blossoms. Hanami season is upon us in Japan, by next weekend they cherry blossoms will be gone.

20km today on a new-old bike. It has a vintage Ideale seat which is hard as a rock and needs breaking in. Once I get the bike dialed in I hope to ride out to the end of the Izu peninsula.

Hit the road at 12:27am about 10 hours after the FULL MOON with nary a cloud in the sky for a solo - almost vehicle free 72.27 miles. Completed the pre-Birthday distance ride then crashed for the remainder of a hot/sunny day. Got back out following dinner for 28.82 additional miles to complete the FULL MOON SOLO SUNDAY RIDE with 101.09.

I did 35 miles on my hardtail. It was slow going: 12mph average with the ride nearly 3 hours long. It was a good opportunity to reflect on my spirituality and decompress after the family gathering. While on my ride I passed above a municipal park and saw a crowd of parents and children having an Easter Egg hunt.
