Hot r Not
Kinda hot, but not sure what to make of the combinations of black spokes with the chrome forks, and the silver group with black levers. Seems a little indecisive, but not in a bad way.... Rims, however, do seem in a bad way. Maybe it's just personal associations, but they just seem to urban/hipster for that bike. Which brings us to pedals: if you're OK with those rims, you really ought to be OK with modern clipless.

That Mondonico is hot but the derailleur needs to be positioned better and those wheels...
I have those exact rims and tires. The rims will never look as good as they do in that photo. The brake tracks will wear to silver and if you ride in the wet before they wear down then the black coloring will stain the tire sidewalls. Give yourself at least 2x normal stopping distance in the wet until they wear.

Mine is -7* but I don't think that would make it any stiffer. I'm using Ritchey WCS neo-classic bars, which are alloy. They aren't particularly flexy or stiff, perhaps a little movement in the drops. Sounds like you're a watt monster to me .

The Waterford needs to be cleaned up. There's some kind of schmutz on the tires.
Needs a setback seatpost too.
Fence in the top photo is nicer. The lawn in both photos need a complete rehab.

I like the purple.

^Thanks!
I rent, so I only put so much into the fence and lawn. I did plant a bunch of sun flowers though.
Seat post and cranks are both of necessity for my short legs not to correct a reach issue...seriously I have stupid short legs.
However this is Hot R Not and I do not expect to be given quarter on account of fit ;-)

Looks like the clamps are in the middle of the rails to me.

How about this Colian?
I know the pedals are garbage, please excuse my sloppiness. It's brand new to me 😎
Aside from that, a recable and some brown bar tape are all I have planned.

Oh, y'no what, its just my crap photography. The saddle sits just forward of center on the rails. I'm not sure what you're referring to by crankset axle, but I think your eye is being drawn to the long nose of the Toupe saddle.

Yea so actually its my poor photography. The seat sits in the middle of the rails and the frame was designed with a straight post in mind. My torso is very long and legs very short creating a situation where I need a long top tube. This also dictates that i need to get more forward on the bike so my pedal stroke is aligned with the bottom bracket, hence no set back post. The abundance of seat tube was do to my request of an angled top tube to allow for standover clearance...and I wanted more exposed seat tube than a horizontal TT would allow lol.
I'll try to take some better pictures some other time, I'm seeing what you're seeing in those photos. The Toupe saddle with its long nose doesn't help either I guess.

Actually I'm pretty wimpy. I think the angle actually makes quite a difference; a 0° extension would obviously be stiffest, with the torsion aligned along the tube axis. 10% more length is also going to be a factor. And given what we're feeling is stem flex plus bar flex, making one of those stiffer will help, although it seems obvious that a stiffer stem will help more.
